The nearest city to Don’s tiny hometown of Niwot, Colorado, is Longmont. The excellent Longmont newspaper is the Times-Call. They’ve been very generous in covering Don’s productions for the past year, and today there was a big article about “Ups & Downs” and Don’s theater activities on the front page. Wow!

Don Wins an Award
Shakespeare Incorporated, Don’s play about the “truth” behind who really wrote Shakespeare’s plays, was recently selected as one of three finalists for the 2009 Rocky Mountain Theater Association Festival Playwriting Competition. Congratulations to Don!

Don Interviewed by Longmont Newspaper
Quentin Young, the Arts Correspondent for the Longmont (Colorado) Daily Times Call newspaper has covered several of Don’s plays in the past year. Yesterday he came to interview Don for a “Where Are They Now” article about 2008 newsmakers, and ended up staying for 2 hours!
Quentin and Don talked about lots of things, but Ups & Downs will certainly feature prominently in the article, which should be coming out in the next week or so. We’ll post the link to the on-line version of the article when it’s available.
